The NDEP Project Coordination Subcommittee is comprised of representatives from the majority of NDEP member agencies and organizations. Currently, this group is chaired by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). The functions of this subcommittee include:
- Coordination of requirements from NDEP member agencies and organizations
- Identification of overlapping, matching, or near-matching requirements
- Adjudication of requirements to facilitate joint data production
- Developing and maintaining production and funding plans
Current Activities
- NDEP Data Call - The subcommittee is engaged in an on-going data call to gather information about high-resolution
elevation data holdings from NDEP members.
- NDEP Information Infrastructure - The subcommittee is working to define the beginnings of an appropriate information infrastructure (metadata) that will best facilitate the program and production management activities of the NDEP.

Future Activities
- Development of a formalized, systematic requirements gathering process (e.g. annual solicitation) with clearly-defined roles and responsibilities for subcommittee members
- Development of a requirements adjudication methodology which will result in a formal annual NDEP production plan
- Determination of the appropriate information to collect and maintain with respect to requirements, production plans, and data holdings
